The neighbor confirmed access to their account email. This is not a government identity check.

Business or trade license checked

A business uploads its saved business registration, business license, or state/trade license. TaskNeighbor reviews the official record and independently confirms that the applicant controls a contact listed for that business. The badge shows what was checked, the jurisdiction, and its expiry.

Submit a request in Profile & preferences → Trust & reviews. Upload PDF, JPG, or PNG files, up to 4 MB each. Documents are private to the applicant and TaskNeighbor’s Founder reviewer. Checks are reviewed manually; uploading a document does not grant a badge.

Unused uploads expire after 24 hours. Submitted documents are kept for up to one year. Please redact unrelated personal information before uploading.

These checks do not include criminal background checks, insurance verification, or a guarantee of workmanship. Confirm the qualifications and insurance relevant to your specific job before work begins.

Reviews from completed jobs

After a job is marked complete, the matched homeowner and pro can each leave one rating and written review. Reviews are shared after both submit, or 14 days after completion. Until then, each person can see only their own review.

Published reviews and ratings are visible to signed-in neighbors. A completed-job review does not mean the payment was processed through TaskNeighbor. Reviews cannot be edited after submission.

Honest negative reviews are welcome. Report personal information, abuse, spam, or content unrelated to the job. Reporting does not automatically remove a review; moderation decisions are recorded.

Founder

This badge identifies the TaskNeighbor founder’s account. It is a platform role, not a business qualification.
